Auckland Transport is a Controlled Organisation (CCO) of Auckland Council. Here at Auckland Transport we are passionate about making Auckland a truly livable and sustainable city. Our Vision is:For Auckland to benefit from and be recognised for the efficient and timely movement of people and goods through the appropriate use of transport modes.

We are a team of just over 1000 people working from Orewa to Papakura; with responsibility for the day to day activities that keep Auckland's transport systems moving from roads (excluding highways) and footpaths, to cycling, parking and public transport. We plan and fund public transport, promote alternative ways to get around as well as operate the local roading network.

Our Mission is:To deliver effective and innovative transport solutions to our customers.

To do this we employ a diverse range of professional, support, technical specialist and customer service staff. Whilst we may be a varied group of employees, doing a myriad of different jobs we all share a dedication to this fabulous city, and a keen interest in how transport solutions can help shape the future of Auckland.
